By Contractors For Contractors!

English to Spanish - Spanish to English - Construction Terms

You need to communicate with your Spanish speaking employees but maybe you aren't fluent in Spanish, maybe even less than fluent.

You need something that tells you exactly what to say and how to say it so that you're understood and your orders are carried out correctly.

Typical Spanish to English translating dictionaries are helpful but unfortunately they're not practical for carrying around on a jobsite because they're too big and cumbersome.

Usually, without a good grasp of english to spanish translations, it's almost impossible to explain what you want done, you just end up pointing a lot and sounding like you're speaking "gibberish". I know because I've "been there done that". :)

Not anymore though!

Now there's a book that you and/or your superintendents can carry and it fits right in your back pocket! This english spanish construction dictionary is a must-have for anyone who needs to make use of spanish for construction workers.

Never again wonder how to tell the guys
EXACTLY what you need them to know.

"WORKING IN SPANISH: AN EASY GUIDE FOR ON THE JOB"
Approximately 4 1/2" wide x 4" tall x 3/8" thick

You can actually pronounce the words and phrases properly when using this powerful little book due to the included Spanish phonetic translations! :)

Here's a partial list of the topics covered:
  • Common greetings and phrases
  • General work instructions
  • Working with concrete
  • Painting
  • Working with wood
  • Specific work instructions
  • Safety phrases
  • and more!
A few example translations:

I'll pay you ___ dollars per hour.
Le pago ___ dólares por hora.
[Leh PAH-goh ___ DOH-lahr-ehs pohr OH-rah]
(You'll use the "numbers" chapter to fill in the blank)

We start at ___ (o'clock).
Empezamos a las ___ (horas).
[Ehm-peh-SAH-mohs ah lahs ___ (OH-rahs)]
(You'll use the "telling time" chapter to fill in the blank)

Pick up all these and clean the room.
Recoja todo esto y limpie el cuarto.
(Reh-KOH-hah TOH-doh EHS-toh e LEEM-pee/yeh ehl KWAHR-toh]
