*****In September 1999, Senate Bill 542 was passed which provided that any business or government entity that is required to file a federal Form 1099-MISC for services received may have to report specific independent contractor information to EDD beginning

4. Quick Tip: If you have a favorite Web site that you like to visit often (like maybe our website?), you can create a shortcut to that site on your desktop. When you double-click this shortcut, your Web browser will automatically launch (if it's not already open) and take you to that site. To create a desktop shortcut, go to the site first, and then follow the instructions below for the type of computer you use:

 

Windows: Right-click on a blank area of the page and choose

confirmation message appears, click "OK."

 

Macintosh: Click the small icon immediately in front of the
