1. KNOWING YOUR FORMS MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Form DE 542X (7-00) INTERNET is currently still in production so as soon as it is finalized we will post it at our forms page. *****In September 1999, Senate Bill 542 was passed which provided that any business or government entity that is required to file a federal Form 1099-MISC for services received may have to report specific independent contractor information to EDD beginning

4. Quick Tip: If you have a favorite Web site that you like to visit often (like maybe our website?), you can create a shortcut to that site on your desktop. When you double-click this shortcut, your Web browser will automatically launch (if it's not already open) and take you to that site. To create a desktop shortcut, go to the site first, and then follow the instructions below for the type of computer you use:
Windows: Right-click on a blank area of the page and choose
"Create Shortcut" from menu that appears. When the
confirmation message appears, click "OK."
Macintosh: Click the small icon immediately in front of the
site's address in the address bar of your browser. Hold down
your mouse button, drag the icon to an empty area of your
desktop, and release the mouse button.
