3. Remember James' question?
=========================================

Hi Diane, We are a mechanical contractor in FL. We are in
process of a large project on a government base. We've
expended a huge amount of funds due to government
delays. We've heard that there is a form where you can
calculate overhead costs, etc. for delays of these kinds.
I've looked for weeks, and have come up with nothing. Do
you know of a form like this? Please let me know what kind
of form it is, and where I can get it.
Thanks - James

=====

Thank you to Wayne Costa for the following formula:

In reply to James the Mech. Contractor, use the Eichlay Formula
which works to the Contractor's advantage as follows:

Contractor's total
billings during the
period of performance

X Total overhead
incurred during
period of performance

= Overhead
allocated to
the Contract

Overhead Allocated to
the Contract
-------divided by--------
Number of days during
the period of performance

= Overhead allocable to the Contract per day

Overhead allocable to
the Contract per day

X Number of days
of Delay

= UNABSORBED
OVERHEAD

The above formula has been recognized by the government.

THNX WJC

----------

Thank you Wayne!
