trying something a bit different this month. Instead of emailing
the entire newsletter like I have been doing, this month I've
set it up so that this email version of the January newsletter
carries a brief highlight of each article, with links to click
through to read the entire article(s) online. Some articles are
even printable! :) I'd love to hear what you have to say about

you know that there's a possibility that your customer could legally "stiff" you?
If your company is improperly licensed your customer can refuse
to pay you and there's nothing you can do about it. Not only that
but, if you are a Subcontractor contracted with a General Contractor
who happens to be improperly licensed, his customer can "stiff" him
and there again you can find yourself without payment AND you can
be penalized by the license board for contracting with an improperly
licensed, or unlicensed, contractor. General Contractors, if you
are contracted with an improperly licensed Subcontractor you can
